I have been involved with cheerleading since I was 8 years old.  I cheered for the Mansfield Cowboys through 8th grade. I then went on to cheer for Warren Hills freshman and sophomore years.   I returned to cheerleading as a Coach for the Washington Boro Redskins.  I coached flag,  Varsity, and their Competition team  for 7 years.  In February 2010, I took the Boro Redskins Varsity cheer team to UCA Nationals in Orlando, Florida!

Following that exciting trip to Nationals, I met with some amazing local coaches and we created Jr. Streaks Cheerleading.

In the fall of 2011 I came back to where i first fell in love with Cheerleading... Mansfield.  I coached the JV team for 5 years, and this will be my 2nd season as the Varsity Coach.  I am so excited to start a new season with you all, and can't wait to see you  cheering on

Practices will start Monday August 10th.  All practices will be held next to the Recreation Building on Port Murray Road (the building is the blue building above the football field).  Practices are from 6-8PM.  We will be having a quick parents meeting at 6:15PM on the 10th at the Recreation building if you can make it.  You can stay and watch if you like but we ask that parents not talk to the children during practice so they can stay focused with the coaches.

Reminders for practice:

  • The girls should wear a tshirt or team tank for practice (no tops with spaghetti straps) and soffee style shorts (no jean shorts or longer shorts)

  • No Jewelry

  • Hair should be up in a pony tail

  • White sneakers – preferably cheer sneakers but if they aren’t please make sure they are not the type with clunky bottoms especially if you think your daughter may be a flyer.

  • Also, please don’t forget to have the girls bring lots of water to drink as it will be very hot.
